It is imperative that the F-connector is fitted correctly, if it's not then you could end up with a "No Signal" message on your screen as it effectively causes a short circuit. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1 Cut about 25mm down from the end of the cable in a circular manner of the black/white outer plastic covering with a knife and remove from the cable by pulling, be very careful not to cut through the braided copper wire beneath. Step 2 Twist the outer braided copper wire together and fold back along the length of the cable. Step 3 Cut around the inner plastic insulation about 3mm from the base of the cable and braided copper wire in a circular manner, this part should then pull off revealing the inner core. Step 4 Insert the cable through the F-connector and screw the F-connector onto the cable until the white plastic inner insulation is flush with the base part inside the F-connector looking at it from the wide end. Step 5 Trim the inner core to a level that is approximately 4mm proud of the F-connector.
