• SKY HAVE DISCONTINUED THE STANDARD SKY+ BOX. THE ONLY SKY+ BOX AVAILABLE NOW IS THE SKY+HD VERSION.
• CAN I USE A SKY+HD BOX?: If you currently use a standard Sky+ box then you can use a Sky+HD box instead; It will not cost you any more per month, you do not need to subscribe to the Sky HD package and you do not need a HD TV; it will work in exactly the same way as a normal Sky+ box.
• THE BENEFITS OF CHANGING TO SKY+HD?: As mentioned above you can use a Sky+HD box and it will not change your Sky subscription at all, you will however benefit from 3 x more storage space and will receive the FREE HD channels such as BBC HD, ITV HD, CH4 HD etc should you have a HD TV.

Recently asked questions relating to the Sky+ Box.

Can I purchase a Sky+ box for use abroad?  You can use a Sky+ box abroad providing you have an activated Sky digital subscription card.  Your Sky subscription must be either a minimum of 12 months old or a card only package issued by Sky, i.e., not a box supplied or installed at a reduced cost.

You will also require a satellite dish of suitable size (please contact a local installer for advice) with a minimum of two feeds from the satellite dish LNB to the box.

If I purchase a Sky+ Box from you for use abroad do I need to connect it to a telephone line?  As you will be purchasing a box as opposed to it being supplied by Sky at a reduced rate you will not need to connect it to a telephone line.
