• TYPE OF BOX: This Brand New Sky DRX890 (formerly Amstrad) is the HD (high definition) version of the Sky+ Box. It works in exactly the same way as a standard Sky+ Box but is capable of receiving HD content, you don't need to subscribe to the HD package and you don't need to connect it to a HD TV.
• WHAT CAN THE SKY DRX890 BE USED FOR?: It can be used for a new installation or a replacement box by new or existing customers as a subscription box, Sky Freesat (FTV) box or without any FTV card for the Free-to-Air channels.
• CAN I USE THIS SKY BOX TO RECORD?: Yes; The Sky DRX890 has a 500GB hard drive (250GB for personal use). PLEASE NOTE: You can only use the recording functions if you have a monthly Sky subscription or subscribe to the Sky+ service which is currently £10 per month.
• HOW MUCH CAN THE DRX890 RECORD?: You can record up to 185 hours of standard definition or 60 hours of HD, or obviously a combination of the two.
